Bronwyn Merritt is a printmaker, painter and book artist who has lived in the Carrboro area for 24 years. She studied art history, psychology and design at Duke University before receiving her MFA from UNC-G. In addition to showing all over NC, she has worked in fine art venues such as the Weatherspoon in Greensboro and Somerhill Gallery in Chapel Hill. In 1997 she and her husband opened the Chapel Hill night club Hell. For two years she owned a gallery in Carrboro and has maintained a studio/gallery for her own work in Carrboro since March of 2000. In 2006 she opened a gallery and Printmaking School in Carrboro, and soon after became a real estate agent. Seeing what a fantastic haven for the arts this little town, lovingly nicknamed “the Paris of the Piedmont”, has become, she has joined with some other creative realtors to form Carrboro Realty in January of 2008.

Bronwyn is currently a certified creativity coach, having trained with renowned coach Eric Maisel. Her real estate specialty is finding affordable, flexible spaces in which artists of all kinds can live, work and raise families.
